This is a design we developed early as “6LE Designs” over a decade ago, but as a full bumper replacement. Unfortunately, the manufacturing of the finished product left much to be desired. Since we had no interest selling the part, the manufacturer asked to purchase and sell them which they did and do.
We still love the design, but there still is nowhere near a high enough demand to offer it in urethane which a full bumper would need to be. Instead, we worked out a simpler solution. This piece is a fiberglass diffuser that simply bolts on using your license plate the same way our IROC diffuser for the Trans-Am
It bolts on using your vehicle’s license plate and bolts but double sided 3M tape can be added if you desire. It isn’t necessary if your bumper is good condition (with age they can sag and warp, however, you can address this with double sided VHB tape by 3M). It may require some trimming/filling to contour exactly to your bumper, that will again depend on the life your bumper led, but we did our best to offer you a fiberglass piece that comes in a black gel coat ready to prep, prime and paint without any major modifications that the full bumper’s required.
This is definitely one of our top three favorite designs we’ve ever created, we’re are incredibly happy to offer it again in a quality we can control. We would love to see pictures and reviews (we will have finished pics up soon, these were from our design tests and are much more rough)!
